An inexperienced teacher is given the task of saving a troublesome and violent fourteen-year-old boy from being permanently expelled. A tense duel breaks out between the teacher and the student, affecting lives not only inside but also outside the classroom. What to do with a young person that cares for no one and is afraid of nothing? 

He’s got zero empathy. You could be having a conversation and start choking to death and he’d just think ‘well, this conversation’s over’. He’d probably just sit there and finish eating whatever you were choking on. (Monster)

Duncan Macmillan (1980) is a renowned British playwright and director. The repertoire of the Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences also includes his play Every Brilliant Thing (directed by Tanel Jonas).
