Magically, the puppet comes to life, turning out to be an adventurous and curious character whose greatest wish is to become a real boy. When Pinocchio meets a Fairy who promises to fulfil his wish if he can learn to be honest, caring and brave, the wooden boy embarks on an adventure full of twists and colourful characters, humour, desire for freedom and boundless playfulness, but also temptations, unexpected events and wisdom of the heart to handle them.<\/p>\n<p>Director Mirko Rajas:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe story is full of playfulness, unexpected turns and good humour that helps to discuss even more complicated topics with lightness and a joy of life. Pinocchio loses and then finds himself \u2013 over and over again \u2013 being now a clown, then a martyr, then simply a child. His journey is not straightforward, but every stumble comes with an opportunity to grow. Through various twists and turns, Pinocchio finally learns to take responsibility and to love, and realises that becoming human is a never-ending process \u2013 complicated, funny, painful and beautiful all at the same time.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Characteristically to visual theatre, the language of form in\u00a0<em>Pinocchio<\/em>\u00a0is rich, combining lively dialogue, puppets, masks, movement, dance and song.
