The Ministry of Solutions

The summer production of the Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences – The Ministry of Solutions – focuses on the question of how to make the world a better place and what can we do to make life better, safer, happier. Sometimes the only thing you can do is take things into your own hands, because those in trouble must be helped. No matter what. Kindness will prevail. Always.

The production is based on the modern Dutch children’s author Sanne Rooseboom’s book The Ministry of Solutions, which dazzles with its colourful characters, universality and genuine optimism. At a time when everything in the world becomes more complicated, there is someone who has courage to stand up against injustice and evil; someone who offers solutions without drawing attention to themselves.

The eleven-year-old Nina happens to come across a letter from a boy who has turned to the Ministry of Solutions for help against bullies. Even though Nina has never heard of such a ministry, she becomes interested and decides to help the boy. Along with her best friend and closest companion, Nina sets about saving the boy from the bullies. This simple decision sets off an adventure that even reaches an international level. What place is this Ministry of Solutions? Does such an organisation even exist? These and many other questions will be answered in the course of the adventures and quite a few problems will be solved.

In the summer of 2024 the production will be performed in venues across Estonia.
