Conscious Theatre Visitor / Museum lesson

The goal of the museum lesson is to playfully analyse the unique nature of theatre. Students learn about the process of staging a play and the terminology used in theatre. We discuss what is acceptable behaviour in theatre and what are the reasons behind the best practice of theatre visits. The museum lesson introduces mask as a means of visual theatre and in groups, students create masks for a character that embodies a conscious theatre visitor.

Students who participate in the programme:

  • know common theatre terminology;
  • are familiar with the stages of producing a play; can recognize, analyse and value the staging process;
  • can analyse their own as well as others’ behaviour in theatre;
  • acknowledge the importance of theatre etiquette;
  • know what a theatre mask is;
  • as part of group work, create a mask and present it to others.

For group bookings of museum programmes, there is a booking fee of 30 € (deducted from the final cost). The booking fee is non-refundable if the activity is cancelled by the client. Please pay the booking fee within one week of making the booking.
