Puppet Theatre in Fairy Tale / CLIL museum lesson

How can life feel like a fairy tale? Using the means of puppetry and the methodology of CLIL (content and language integrated learning), the museum programme takes children to meet fairy tale characters in a mysterious land far, far away.

Studying and describing fairy tale characters and repeating magic words enriches children’s vocabulary and improves pronunciation.

The game, which was created in cooperation with a speech therapist, develops a child’s speech, creative, and manual skills. Meeting with the theatre puppets found in the museum and listening to the fairy tales related to them develops the child’s ability to pay attention, comprehension of speech, and listening skills. Examining and describing fairy tale characters as well as repeating magic spells enriches the child’s vocabulary and pronunciation skills.

What is CLIL?
Content and language integrated learning, or CLIL, combines the teaching of subject content with language learning.
In the Museum of Puppetry Arts CLIL classes, we encourage children with a different native language to use Estonian through engaging in creative and inclusive activities.
