Have you ever wondered what materials a puppet is made of? What does it take to make a puppet move? The aim of the museum lesson is to study the anatomy of puppets, examine the materials used to create them, and learn different puppet animation methods and movement possibilities.
The museum lesson is related to the exhibition Puppet Anatomy, which examines the differences and similarities between the human body and that of a puppet, and introduces various possibilities of creating puppets from different materials.
Students who participate in the programme:
- recognize various puppet types;
- compare human anatomy with that of a puppet;
- in groups, create a simple moving puppet (based on given characteristics);
- analyse the movement of the created puppet.
The museum lesson integrates biology and technology education.
